What this Blog Is About
In August, 2005, we spent two-and-a-half weeks in Guatemala. We studied Spanish while getting to know the city of Antigua and environs. We also made a side trip to Lake Atitlan--Panajachel and Santiago (which, we were sad to hear, has since been devastated by mudslides triggered by Hurricane Stan). This blog served as our travel diary while we were there.
Although I'm still posting here from time to time--and adding some stray photos now and then that didn't get posted during the trip--we don't have plans to keep it truly active. It will remain, though, as a nice online memory book for us and for anyone who cares to read about our brief family adventure in Guatemala.
The "meat" of the blog consists of the daily entries we made while on the trip. You can view those by clicking on any of the weekly archive links from August (see archive listing on the right-hand side of this page).
