Some Notes
I noticed today that the photos that I blogged here via flickr.com are not showing up. I don't know why, or if it's just a temporary glitch. I intend to look into it.
I'm about done with everything I wanted to write on this blog about our trip. I still have some pictures I want to add, as soon as I can get them off the camera (I bought a new camera-to-computer USB cable, but it was the wrong kind and won't fit into the plug in our camera).
We are thinking about the devastation on the Gulf Coast from Hurricane Katrina. My (Steve's) parents live in Mobile, Alabama. They and their house survived fine, from what they report, but of course they are dealing with the frustrations of life in a city where there are long gas lines, closed stores, lack of electricity, reduced services, etc. The people of Mississippi and New Orleans have suffered even worse, as the news shows.
